Tied with an epoxy head for durability and a deceiver style tail for good action. This fly was developed as a pattern for kingfish and has also proven a worth fly for other species like barramundi, trevally mangrove jack and most pelagic species.
-
Originally developed for deceiving large giant trevally and queen fish at Exmouth, the FlyWorld deceiver has now taken more species of fish in Australia than can be listed. The materials used in the FlyWorld Deceiver shed rather than retain water which means that this pattern can be cast with lines as light as #6. Fishing journalist and presenter, Steve Starling has used this pattern to great effect on tuna & queenfish and recently took a new world record for Queen fish (full details to follow shortly)
