        STRIPED BASS Taper Sinking APPLICATIONS. Available in slow sinking and fast sinking versions Slow sinking Surf sinks just below effects of wind. Fast sinking Dark Gray quickly takes flies deep. Surf in weights 7 to 12, Dark Gray in weights 7 to10. Surf color improves visibility in the air and in the water. Surf version provides excellent performance in all weather conditions. Both offer quick shooting and maximum distance. Perfect designs for false albacore and bluefish. Ideal from beach, boat, and jetty. SINK RATES. Slow 1.25 to 1.75 ips. Fast 3.75 to 6.5 ips TAPER CHARACTERISTICS. Longer overall design provides the distance of a shooting line but in a smoother, easier to handle one piece line for large flies. Shorter head for faster, smoother casts.
