An extremely durable paint that has to be the toughest on the market. Designed for bouncing jigs off the bottom, but ideally suited for any type of metallic eyes for flies. Simply heat the eye, dip in to the powder paint, tap off any excess and briefly reapply heat. The powder melts to form a uniform coating on the fly. Ready to use almost immediately. 20g jar.

MonoWEED GUARD

Tiewell weed guard is round, hard, Nylon monofilament that is perfect for tying in. We have found that for convenience, the fly tyer should tie the weed guards for several flies in the one sitting. The weed guard should be tied well down the bend of the hook and the windings of flat thread should be reinforced and protected by coating them with Pliobond or other flexible type cement. The extra time spent on the guard at this stage will make a far more durable fly. Use weed guards not only on Bass type surface bugs but also on any sub surface fly that is to be fished around weeds. REMEMBER, weed guards allow the angler to fish in places where other fishermen deem the fishing to be too difficult.
