        Flosses are used for building up bodies on larger flies or as a body on smaller dry flies. Floss can also be used as a broad ribbing material on some patterns. Since all flosses fray very easily it is recommended that they are used in a fly tying bobbin (a floss bobbin has a larger dia tube to cope with single, double or four strand flosses). The single strand floss can readily be used on the standard fly tying bobbin and we recommend the Tiemco or Matrelli bobbins for any type of floss.
