MARA WOOL Yellow

This is no ordinary wool! Called Mara Wool to convey its incredible mobility in water - rather like that of Marabou. The fibres are straight, translucent and have good length. This material makes for much easier tying of Wool Head Sculpins and saltwater streamers with large heads (eg Wool Head Mullet). Can be coated with Silicone for making the "Pop Lips" type fly as well as some great Bass Flies. A good substitute for Arctic fox as well as being used for making those subsurface flies traditionally tied with Deer hair. Eg Muddler patterns. Tie as per "GloBug yarn in small bunches around the hook shank, then trim into shape.

FUR WRAP RABBIT CRAWDAD Orange

The Zonker strip is cut so that the hair lies in parallel to the strip. The Fur Wrap is obtained by cutting the hide across the grain so that the fur lies at 90 degrees to the leather strip. This allows the strip to be wrapped around the hook shank like a feather. Fur wrap is available in rabbit to suit most types and sizes of flies. This material is more durable than feathers, is available in straight colours or two toned and so can be substituted readily in many patterns. Can be used for fur flies, for wrapping bodies on mudeyes or on Pink Things for saltwater

RABBIT FUR DUBBING PALE DUN

Rabbit fur is approximately 25mm long and is recognised as being one of the easiest furs to dub. Rabbit is suitable for dubbing onto both wet and dry flies. If required for dry flies pull out the guard hairs first prior to dubbing the fur onto the tying thread. Removal of the guard hairs will result in a much neater fly. The soft tanning also allows the fur to be cut into strips that remain very mobile in the water.
