Shrimps & Scuds

-
Tied with a small amount of lead to get the fly on the bottom, a very important feature when fishing to shrimp feeders. Sometimes a slight twitch when the fish is about half a metre away will attract it attention.
-
These little scuds are every where in Australian still waters. Fish this pattern very slowly over or amongst the weeds on the edge of your favorite lake or dam. On windy days the movement of a floating line is more than enough to move your scud pattern.
-
Generally considered to be a trout pattern, the mountain shrimps are also good black bream flies. Just be sure to give them a good rinse with fresh water after use to avoid the hook rusting.
